FACIAL BEFORE & AFTERCARE
-
DO
- Hydrate: Drink at least 2 liters of water to help flush toxins and keep cells plump.
-
DO
- Use gentle products: If you wash your face, use lukewarm water, a mild cleanser, and pat your skin dry.
-
DO
- Apply SPF: Your skin is more vulnerable to UV rays after exfoliation. Make sure to apply a physical or chemical sunscreen if you are heading outdoors.
-
DON'T
- Don't pick or squeeze: Your skin may purge or have minor blemishes a few days after. Picking can lead to scarring and inflammation.
-
DON'T
- Don't break a heavy sweat: Avoid intense gym sessions, steam rooms, and hot tubs for at least 12 to 24 hours. Sweat and heat can irritate freshly exfoliated skin.
-
DON'T
- Don't apply makeup: Give your pores a break. Wait at least 24 hours before applying heavy makeup, as your skin can be highly reactive.
-
DON'T
- Don't use "actives": Avoid any at-home peels, vitamin C, or retinol serums for 3 to 7 days, depending on how intense your facial was.
-
DON'T
- Don't wax or use lasers: Put off any facial waxing, threading, or laser hair removal for a full week.
